High Proficiency Information Laboratories

High Proficiency Information Laboratories consists of 3 Units:

  • Grid Computing Lab
  • Parallel Computing Lab
  • Configurable Computing Lab

1.Grid Computing Lab

Objectives

  • To learn students basic meaning of how to use group of computers as one computer with high efficiency.
  • To train post-graduate students and researches on computerization network and to apply it on their research fields, as to acquire fast and detailed results.
  • To take advantage from treatment abilities and saving of other computers registered on the network and to add them in their data and programming

Equipment

  •  One master server
  •  One storage server
  • 8 computing serves
  •  Cisco Gigabit Switch
  •  Uninterrupted Power Supply
  • 21 working stations
  • To take advantage from treatment abilities and saving of other computers registered on the network and to add them in their data and programming.

2.Parallel Computers Lab

Objectives

  • To learn students basic meaning on how to use programming in coordination with programs designing and operating systems.

Equipment

  • Server with 4 processors, working as equivalent device.1
  • 7 work stations to remote access.

3. Configurable Computing Lab

Purpose

  • Teach students the basic concept of using the system (Field Programmable Gate Array “FPGA”, Microprocessor and Microcontroller).
  • For graduate students and researchers to use adaptive programming systems and apply them in research journals.
