The University of Montana receives a delegation from Assiut University to learn about its advanced experience in integrating students with disabilities with their peers

Assiut University President, Prof.Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, asserted that the university administration is fully aware of the importance of integrating students with disabilities in university work as well as in student activities. He revealed that the Universiry is about to establish the first center in the University to care for people with special abilities and needs , and the first laboratory in Egypt to be specialized for carrying out test for people with audiovisual disabilities. He pointed out that this came in parallel with the success of the initiative launched by the university last year, which announced that the university is friendly to people with special needs. This came in response to the report submitted by prof.Dr. Shehata Gharib Shalkamy, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, upon his arrival at the University of Montana, USA, at the head of a delegation comprising Dr. Mohamed Hussein Mousa, Director of the Center for Special Needs at the University, and Dr. Doaa Mostafa, in an attempt to recognize the leading experiment of Montana University in integrating the disabled with their peers through its developed center in this field in order to benefit from that experience in establishing a special center for disabled people at the university, which is implemented by the university in cooperation with Dream Foundation for Education and Training and in coordination with representatives of AMIDEAST.
