Vice-Chancellor of Assiut University attests to the opening of the 7th Faculty of Science Conference for Young Researchers in Basic and Applied Sciences.

Assiut University attested the opening of the 7th Faculty of Science Conference for Young Researchers in Basic and Applied Sciences held under the auspices of Dr. Tariq Al-Jamal, President of the University, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Manshawi, Vice-Chancellor of the university and Dr. Abdelhamid Abu Sehli, Dean of the Faculty of Science and President of the Conference, Dr. Jamal Badr Undersecretary of Graduate Studies and Research and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, Dr. Jalaluddin Al Gemayi, President of the Board of Research in Basic Sciences at the Academy of Scientific Research and Professor of Chemistry at Helwan University, Elite faculty and researchers at Assiut University and a number of other universities.

In his opening address, Dr. Al-Manshawi underscored the pride of the University Administration in the Faculty of Science, mother of all science  and Scientists, where it came in first place in the international publication of research with a 47% percentage of the University's internationally published research, commending the conference which aims to showcase scientific research, exchange experiences, seek to apply distinctive ideas and encourage researchers from inside and outside the university to conduct outstanding scientific research and participate effectively through it in the service of society and the development of the nation in various fields.

Dr. Abu Sehli added that scientists are the leaders of development and renaissance in various societies and therefore the Faculty of Science is keen to introduce new generations of distinguished young researchers capable of doing this great task like the generations that preceded them from the graduates of the College of Sciences, many of whom held leading scientific and management positions in the state and performed their tasks fully, inviting young people to come to benefit from their great experiences during the conference and welcoming again the university guest Dr. Al-Jalaluddin Al-Jamaee, a distinguished scholar with a great scholarly giving to his people for the highest Egyptian and international awards and accolades. At the beginning of the conference, he presented a public lecture entitled "Lessons learned through 40 years of international scientific cooperation".

Dr. Jamal Badr stated that the conference runs over the course of May 10 and 11. The first day's programme includes a lecture entitled How to Build Your Scientific Profession, Followed by a number of specialized scientific lectures in which Dr. Hani Nasser, Dr. Mohamed Abdul Shakur and Dr. Ahmed Maher lecture programme ", while the second day programme includes presentations of research participating in the Conference and includes 28 oral presentations, 26 presentations of research posters, adding that the winning research will receive valuable awards and shields and certificates of recognition will be distributed for outstanding participation in the conference.

It is worth mentioning that the opening of the conference began with a minute to mourn the martyrs of the armed forces who had recently died in Sinai and to read the conqueror of their immaculate souls, which they gave to the homeland in order to enjoy peace, security, development and prosperity.
