Assiut University organizes a training forum on "electronic secretarial" for administrative staff
Assiut University, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, organized today, Sunday, June 22, 2025, a training forum entitled: "Electronic secretariat", in the discussion Hall of the administrative building of the university, as part of its continuous efforts to develop the performance of the administrative apparatus and raise the efficiency of its staff, under the supervision of Prof. Shawkat saber, secretary general of the University, and the organization of the General Department of talent management and development, within the targeted training plan for employees in various departments and units.
The forum aims to enhance the digital skills of employees, and introduce them to the latest methods and software used in electronic secretarial, to keep pace with the requirements of digital transformation and support improving the efficiency of institutional performance.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the organization of the "electronic Secretariat" forum comes within the framework of the University's keenness to develop the administrative apparatus and raise the efficiency of its employees, in line with the state's orientation towards digital transformation, pointing to the importance of qualifying administrative cadres and providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to use modern technology in office management. He added that the forum focuses on a number of key topics, including electronic archiving, document management, digital communication, as well as the development of administrative and behavioral skills required to work efficiently in an advanced digital environment.
The forum comes under the supervision of: Mr. Osama El Sayed, Assistant Secretary General of the University, Mr. Abdulkader Mehran, head of the Central Department of human resources, and Mr. Khaled Omran, Director General of talent management and development, with the participation of about (60) trainees from various sectors of the University.
Mr. Osama Al-Sayed pointed out that the training program aims at developing the capabilities of administrative staff, enabling them to perform their tasks and responsibilities in the areas of secretarial and office management efficiently and effectively, as well as training on the use of electronic secretarial tools, which contributes to saving time and effort, and improving the level of dealing with the public quickly and easily. He also stressed the vital role played by the secretarial staff in organizing office work, arranging appointments, and providing the necessary support and assistance to the head of work, in order to ensure the regularity of the workflow in accordance with sound organizational bases.
The forum will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of June, and will address a number of important topics, most notably: the concept of electronic secretarial, the modern responsibilities and tasks of the secretary, in addition to the skills and qualities to be available in the secretarial staff, the importance of employing modern technologies in this field, in addition to practical applications in electronic archiving and archiving, these topics are discussed by Dr. Abeer Tawil Mohammed, Information Technology teacher at the Faculty of Arts.
The forum also deals with the topic of e-Management, in terms of its concept, the specifications of the e-office manager, and the most prominent challenges facing the application of this management model, as well as a presentation of the latest advanced technologies used to improve work efficiency and increase employee productivity.
