Assiut University witnessed the launch of the proceedings of the closing conference of the "MOIC simulation model" entitled "Facing Terrorism and Extremist Violence: Opportunities and Challenges", under the auspices of Dr. Tarek El-Gamal, President of Assiut University, and Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. The conference witnessed the presence of Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Religious Affairs, Ambassador Mohamed Al-Orabi, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Dr. Taya Abdel-Latif, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for student activities, and Dr. Abdel Salam Noir, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Dr. Mohamed El-Adawy Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Abdel Rahim Khalil, Head of the Political Science Department, and Dr. El Hassan El Khairy, the academic supervisor of the model, in the presence of a group of department heads and faculty members and with the participation of students of the model.
At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari praised what he saw of the effort made by the students of the model and their ability to repeat success every time, which indicates that the previous success was the result of effort, passion and love for work until this model came out today in its distinguished image indicating the youth’s ability to sustain and repeat success, stressing that the educational process has five pillars, including the professor, the student, the book, the integrated scientific curriculum, and the fifth and most important of them is the scientific atmosphere, which means the success of the process of education in that it fills the student’s void with a stimulating atmosphere full of competition makers with the activities in which science is combined with entertainment, it also means trips, activities, discussion sessions and seminars, which creates a very interesting atmosphere for students of science that facilitates the difficulty a student faces during his/her journey of study at the university. He also praised the sincerity of the students’ reincarnation of the model from the sincerity of feelings and emotion, as well as the awareness and constants of all countries towards international issues, which confirms the ability of the Egyptian youth to open up to the world and decipher what surrounds us in the outside world of military, philosophical and intellectual work, international relations and a deep reading of reality.
Ambassador Muhammad Al-Orabi praised the fluency, eloquence, and distinction of the students of the model and their mastery of the various languages of the countries they represent in speaking and discussion, and their developed and harmonious performance, and the combination of intensity of emotion and calmness during their presentation of the issues raised, in addition to the fact that the material presented is in line with the position of each country and expressing it realistically, which confirms the great effort expended in studying the file of each case, praising the talents and distinguished youth cadres of Assiut University, and he also announced that two students of the model will be chosen by election to spend a training period at the Diplomatic Institute In Cairo, to benefit from these talents and cadres and achieve the maximum possible benefit.
