Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, President of Assiut University, confirmed that the Faculty of Agriculture represents a permanent pride for the university because of its distinguished scientific figures in various agricultural fields. Also, the remarkable effort of the faculty’s figures is reflected in the surrounding community as it provides scientific advice to farmers and prepares generations of promising young specialists to carry out their tasks in working in various agricultural fields. Moreover, the faculty has a huge productive activity through its projects inside and outside the university campus, which works to produce the finest types of agricultural crops and various types of livestock, birds and fish farms. Thus, the president pointed to the university's keenness to provide all means of support and care for the college’s young researchers because they are the human resource on which they depend to treat the most important problems facing agricultural growth and contribute to the implementation of the state’s plans to reach self-sufficiency in various agricultural products to achieve sustainable development, which is the most important goal of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Such declarations were during the inauguration of the proceedings of the tenth scientific conference for young researchers at the Faculty of Agriculture, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawi, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Dr. Adel Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty and President of the Conference; Dr. Muhammad Al-Saghir, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; and Dr. Galal Abdel-Fattah Al-Saghir, Vice Dean for Faculty Affairs Community Service and Environmental Development, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference. The conference also was attended by a crowd of faculty members, researchers and students, and a number of businessmen.
