Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, President of Assiut University, praised the importance of the university’s launch of the “You Are Not Alone” initiative and its positive idea. The initiative would contribute to strengthening the university’s efforts and providing optimal support and care for its students. Furthermore, the president pointed out that the initiative coincides with what has been observed of the high incidence of suicide in Egypt and the decrease in the age of perpetrators of young people. This is in addition to the increase in the number of young people with different degrees of symptoms of depression, sense of failure and social withdrawal. Such symptoms synchronized with the time when Egypt needs the renewable energies of young people and their creative ideas in order to contribute to achieving the progress of the country and building its renaissance.

The activities of the ceremony also included a graphic video presentation of the psychological patients. The events of the ceremony also included the presentation of a singing segment entitled "You are not alone" by the students of the Music Education Department at the Faculty of Specific Education and the university's music and choir team.
