Assiut University is preparing to organize a workshop on plant tissue culture and genetic differences

Under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the university is preparing to organize a specialized workshop entitled "plant tissue culture and genetic differences resulting from IT (development - applications - detection methods)", during the period from April 15 to 17, 2025.

The workshop is organized by the genetic engineering and Plant Tissue Culture Unit at the molecular biology research and studies institute, under the supervision of Dr. Jamal Badr, vice president for graduate studies and research, and Dr. Amr Mohammed Abdel Fattah, dean of the Institute.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the university pays great attention to advanced scientific research, praising the role of the molecular biology research and Studies Institute in providing specialized workshops that contribute to enhancing academic and applied knowledge for those interested in the field of plant tissue culture, by highlighting the theoretical and applied foundations of tissue culture, the resulting genetic differences, and the molecular methods used to detect them, in order to support biodiversity and achieve agricultural sustainability.

The workshop is being organized by Dr. Alaa Hamed, the Institute's undersecretary for graduate studies and research, Dr. Mohammed Al-kharshi, head of the Applied Biotechnology Department, and Dr. Marwa Talaat al-Mahdi, director of the genetic engineering and Plant Tissue Culture Unit.
