Assiut University President participates in the unveiling ceremony of the foundation stone of the Catholic Church in the new city of Nasser

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, stressed the importance of the national and community role played by the Egyptian churches throughout the various stages of Egypt's modern history, which reflects the national unity and the solidarity and dedication of all the institutions in serving the nation. Prof. Tarek El-Gammal headed the delegation of Assiut University, which included Prof.Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof.Dr. Ahmed Al-Menshawi, Vice President of Assiut University for Graduate Studies and Research, in order to participate in the ceremony of unveiling the foundation stone of the Catholic Church, which is to take place in New City of Naser in Assiut. This ceremony is to take place in the presence of General Jamal Nour El Din Mohamed Zaki, governor of Assiut; Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, Dean of the Eastern Churches Complex in the Vatican; Bruno Muzzaro, Ambassador of Vatican City in Egypt; Kerlous William Bishop of Metropolitan Catholic Copts in Assiut; along with a numer of executive, security, societal and popular leaders in Assiut .
