Today, Assiut University opens the second forum of the Peoples' Week. The forum is organized by the university, bearing the slogan "Peoples against extremism and terrorism" under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education; Dr. Tarek El-Gamal, President of Assiut University; Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and session moderator; and Dr. Taya Abdel-Latif, advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for student activities. Moreover, the forum is attended by many public figures such as, Mr. Mahmoud Muslim, Mr. Imad El-Din Hussein, Engineer Ashraf Rashad, leaders in the House of Representatives, Major General Staff Mahmoud Al-Ghubari, former director of the National Defense College, Dr. Nazir Ayad, Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy, Professor Tariq Saada, head of the Media Syndicate, Mr. Santo from the State of Sudan representing the participating delegations, and the student Abdul Rahman Rashad, President of the University Students’ Union.  Also, attended the forum Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawi, Vice President for University Affairs Postgraduate studies and research accompanied by a group of executive, popular and security leaders, senior clerics, media and university leaders in Assiut.
