The closing ceremony of Assuit University’s celebration of the 10th Anniversary of June 30 Revolution will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, in which the university participated in a number of events and activities during July so as to ensure that the processes of construction and development will be completed and that work will continue.
The closing ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. in the Octet Hall of the University’s Administrative Building under the auspices of Prof. Ahmed Al-Menshawi, President of Assuit University; Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Alim, University Vice-President for Community Service and Environmental Development; academic and administrative leaders of the university; executive, administrative, popular, religious, and military and security leaders of Assuit Governorate.
The ceremony is to include a tribute to the families of martyrs and to the students who won the artistic and cultural competitions that were organized throughout the month as part of the celebrations.
The president of Assuit University delivered a speech on “June 30 Revolution: A March towards Development and Nation-Building” in which he directs a message to the youths telling them to continue ambitious and sincere hard work no matter what challenges they might face, as June 30 Revolution aimed for hard work and an ambitious march to develop the Egyptian State and change it to the new republic.
Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Alim added that the event witnesses the presentation of a video on the activities and competitions that were held throughout the month of July in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of June 30 Revolution followed by another short video on the artistic workshops that were held and then the honoring of the families of the armed forces and police martyrs, and the students who won the artistic and cultural competitions. The events conclude with taking memorial pictures of the organizational team of the events, followed by the national anthem.
Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Alim pointed out that on the side-lines of the event a healthy day will be organized under the auspices of Dr. Medhat Al-Araby and it will include an opening of an exhibition for students’ paintings from the Faculties of Fine Arts, Specific Education, and Commerce.
