Prof. Tarek El-Gammal, Assiut University President, announced that Assiut University was included in the Dutch Leiden classification for the first time for the world's best universities in scientific research, which came in the 914th rank in the world, which includes the evaluation of about 30 thousand universities. The university president pointed out that the inclusion of Assiut University in that classification for the first time is the fruit of the efforts of all sectors concerned with the university's international classification file and the concerted efforts to improve its ranking according to the standards applied in all international classifications, as well as a measure of the excellence of the scientific activity and the research movement within the university
