President of Assiut University signs cooperation protocol with Chamber of Commerce to hold training courses for young people to improve self-employment opportunities

Dr. Tariq Al-Jamal, President of Assiut University, Professor Amr Abu Laayoune, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Professor Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed, Managing Director and a number of business leaders of the Chamber, were received in the presence of Dr. Nobi Mohamed Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Ahmed Adel –Aziz Director of the University's Centre for the Development of Engineering Education.

Dr. Tariq al-Jamal revealed that the meeting saw the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the two sides to cooperate in holding training courses in the field of enhancing young people's life and personal skills and acquiring skills that enhance their abilities and qualify them for the labor market, which is scheduled to aim to train some 325 trainees from May 2022 to August 2022.

Dr. Nubi Mohammed Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, added that the areas of training are to include youth rehabilitation and technical support on how to deal with clients, communication skills, presentation, submission and negotiation, within the framework of the implementation by the Chamber of Commerce of the project "New Start", funded by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority.
