Vice-Chancellor of Assiut University receives a delegation from the Information Technology Industry Development Authority to cooperate in supporting and nurturing students’ innovations and preparing them for the labor market

Dr. Shehata Gharib, Vice-Chancellor of Assiut University for Education and Students, emphasized the university's outstanding students in various fields who have succeeded in competing locally and internationally and securing advanced positions in many scientific and technological competitions. The University administration, headed by Dr. Tariq Al-Jamal, is keen to provide all necessary support and care to highlight young people.

This came during his welcome to a delegation from the Information Technology Industry Development Authority, including Engineer Hazim Nabil, Professor Amani Rabi, Vice President of the Authority, Professor Hoida Kamel, Head of Strategic Marketing Sector of the Authority and Professor Mohammed Dahi, responsible for the Creative and Entrepreneurship Center.

During the meeting, Dr. Shehata Gharib pointed to the establishment of a specialized center in supporting and entrepreneurial innovation for students, which resulted in their success in designing and implementing a number of projects including the design of an electric car Drone and low-cost ventilator, and a robot that conducts medical scans of suspected coronavirus cases and an electronic blood donation application called "Red".

The Vice-Chancellor of Assiut University for Education and Student Affairs stated that the meeting resulted in a preliminary agreement to conclude a joint cooperation protocol with the Authority aimed at supporting and nurturing students' innovative work, motivating young people to the labor market, increasing their linguistic and personal skills, training in data analysis and electronic marketing skills, and companies adopting student graduation projects.
