Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek El-Gamal, President of Assiut University, Dr. Maha Ghanem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, chaired the meeting of the Scientific Equipment and Laboratories Committee which was launched this month at the Faculty of Dentistry. During the meeting, Dr. Maha Ghanem stressed on the university administration's keenness to implement its strategy aimed at developing and rehabilitating scientific laboratories and research units, maximizing their use and strengthening joint cooperation between these laboratories to serve the research process. Dr. Maha Ghanem noted that the meeting comes within the framework of following up the administrative requirements of laboratories and discussing development plans, technical requirements, work mechanism, security and prevention standards, as well as discussing proposals for establishing a spare parts bank for scientific and laboratory equipment, calling on members of the committee to form a higher committee to develop a mechanism for developing work in warehouses and benefiting from chemical materials and how to deal with dangerous materials for the safety of individuals.
