The President of Assiut University inaugurates the neonatal intensive care unit and the pediatric orthopedic unit at the New Assiut University Hospital, at a cost exceeding 3 million pounds

Dr. Tarek El-Gamal, President of Assiut University, visited the hospital in the city of New Assiut, and he revealed that his visit to the university hospital there witnessed the opening of the neonatal intensive care unit, and the pediatric orthopedic unit. He stated that the openings of the New Assiut Hospital aim to develop the health service presented by it. For his part, Dr. Alaa Attia revealed that the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit was equipped according to the directives of the university president for both Dr. Ghada Mohamed Sayed, director of the hospital, and Dr. Imad Al-Dali, director of the University Children’s Hospital, to become an extension of its counterpart at the University Children’s Hospital and under the technical supervision of its professors in order to increase their capacity. The University Children's Hospital trained and qualified medical personnel and nursing staff to provide the best level of care for premature babies. Moreover, the unit includes 6 incubators, 2 capsules, 2 respirators and 2 recovery devices, at a total cost of more than one million and 700 thousand pounds. Dr. Ihab Fawzy said that the university president's visit to the New Assiut Hospital also included the opening of the orthopedic unit, which is equipped with the latest medical devices and equipment needed to perform orthopedic surgery for children as it is equipped with a CR device for radiology provided as a donation from Faisal Islamic Bank, with a value of one million and a quarter.
