“WOTE “- "Wafaa for Egypt" Foundation supports Assiut University hospitals with medical devices worth more than 18 and a half million pounds.

Dr. El-Minshawy praises the ongoing collaboration with “WOTE” Foundation to improve medical services provided to university hospital patients.
-    (6) ventilators, (6) monitors, an echocardiography ultrasound machine, and medical supplies donated by the Foundation to the main university hospital.
-    The foundation donates an illumination source control unit, a pediatric colonoscope, and a pediatric gastroscope for diagnosis and treatment at the Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, announced the donation of a number of medical devices by "WOTE" Foundation for the benefit of the Main Hospital and the University Children's Hospital, as part of the joint cooperation protocol between the university and "WOTE" Foundation, as part of the joint initiative between Kuwait Finance House, in cooperation with the WOTE Foundation and Misr Al-Khair Foundation, for the benefit of Assiut University hospitals, which is the second phase of the initiative activities.

On Tuesday, February 4, Assiut University received a number of precision medical devices, equipped with the latest advanced capabilities in diagnosis and treatment using artificial intelligence technologies, provided by "WOTE" Foundation, for the benefit of the Main Hospital and the University Children's Hospital, with a value of more than 18 and a half million pounds.
-The handover event was attended by: Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University Hospitals, Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz, Director of the Main University Hospital, Dr. Yasser Farouk, Director of the University Children's Hospital, Dr. Gamal Askar, Head of the Pediatrics Department, Dr. Mohamed Gamil, Deputy Director of the Hospital for Quality Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Amir, Professor of Pediatrics, Dr. Ahmed Obeidallah, Head of the Critical Care Unit at the Main Hospital, Dr. Naglaa Abou fadan, Head of the Endoscopy Unit at the University Hospital for Children, and Dr. Ehsan Ali Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Medical and Therapeutic Affairs at the University Hospitals and several doctors of the Main Hospital and Children’s Hospital. Representing “WOTE” Foundation, the delegation included: Mr. Ashraf Badr, Administrative Director of “WOTE”, Mr. Ayman Mostafa, Director of Marketing and Media Sector, and Mr. Mohamed Hassan, representative of Misr El-Khair Foundation in Assiut.
-Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the cooperation protocol between Assiut University and “WOTE” Foundation, chaired by Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt and Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. This agreement was signed in 2020 and extended until the end of 2025, and includes strengthening aspects of cooperation in the medical field, eliminating waiting lists, providing medical devices, and upgrade the infrastructure of Assiut University Hospitals.
-Dr. El-Minshawy praised the existing cooperation between the university and "WOTE" Foundation, appreciating its sincere efforts and contribution in upgrading the system of medical services in university hospitals by providing support to its health facilities to improve the level of service provided to citizens, noting that these efforts come in line with the university's plan to develop and upgrade the efficiency of university hospitals to meet the needs of millions of patients from different governorates and provide comprehensive health care at a high level of quality and efficiency.
-Dr. Alaa Attia explained: The medical devices provided by the Foundation included, (6) ventilators, (6) monitors, (24) solution syringes, an echocardiography ultrasound machine for the Critical Care Unit at the Main Hospital, an illumination source control unit, a pediatric colonoscope and a pediatric gastroscope for diagnosis and treatment at the Children’s University Hospital.

    For his part, Mr. Ayman Mostafa, Director of Marketing and Media Sector, emphasized that the activities of "WOTE" initiative aim to upgrade medical facilities by providing all the comprehensive support for them of modern medical devices and equipment. He stated that this donation after conducting a comprehensive study to monitor the needs of various medical departments, in terms of devices and equipment, and from this point of view, the initiative came within Assiut University hospitals to provide the latest medical devices that are the first of their kind in the Upper Egypt, which rely on artificial intelligence techniques to contribute to improving diagnosis and treatment in a more accurate and rapid manner.
