Doctoral and Master's applications
Admission requirements for the Master’s Degree include the following:
For The Masters, the candidate is required to pursue a year of studies approved by the Faculty Council and must pass the exams successfully. Then, after passing the courses successfully, the candidate has to prepare a thesis on the topic recommended by the department council and approved by the Faculty’s-Council.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university recognized by AUN (overall grade must be at least “good”)
- A birth certificate or an official copy of it.
- A copy of the National ID Card.
- Six personal (4*6) photos.
- Approval of the students’ workplace that he/she can enroll in postgraduate studies.
- If the student is a civil servant, he/she has to have the approval of his/her workplace that he/she can give all his/her time to study if necessary (or according to the faculty bylaws)
- The Military Status Certificate (postponed / temporarily exempted / finally exempted)
- The Armed Forces approval in the case of conscripted students.
Admission requirements for the PhD include the following:
- A PhD candidate must have a Master's Degree in the same field from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree from another academic institution recognized by the university.
- The applicant must undertake innovative research in the subject approved by the Faculty Council and the University Council upon recommendation of the Department concerned.
- The Studies and research are carried out for a period of at least two years.
- After registration for the degree, the candidate must stay in the Arab Republic of Egypt for a period of one year at least before submitting the dissertation to the Board of Examiners.
- The candidate must present the results of the research in the dissertation, and the dissertation must be approved by the Board of Examiners after a defense.
- A birth certificate or an official copy of it.
- A copy of the National ID Card.
