The Agricultural Division adopts a serious of scientific work for enriching the practical, mental and technical skills of postgraduate students in the field of sugar crop science and related disciplines. The Division also provides undergraduate students of the STRI the latest information and practical and mental skills that enable them to effectively compete in the sugar and integrative industries labor market. Besides, the Division takes on applying recent approaches in production, marketing and processing of sugar cropsand cooperation with various scientific organizations to overcome the problems of cultivation and production of sugar crops in Egypt.

To achieve its mission, the Agricultural Division espousesthe following strategies:

1. Provide both undergraduates and postgraduates of the Institute scientific subjects to the latest level of knowledge.
2. Continuous development and updatingof curricula and teaching methods.
3. Cooperation with beneficiariesindustrial organizations.
4. Effectively participate with other STRI scientific divisions and other faculties associated scientific departments.
5. Instill the values of loyalty, hard work and scientific honesty in the technical staff, students and faculty members.
