Our university is built within the Nile valley and has a lot of production unit of food products and materials. The university administration conducting a policy to use our resources and products and depend on the local supplies as far as possible bending on its quality and available quantity. The university is expanding its policy for proper waste disposable and recycling by increasing number of segregated pins. 
Moreover, The university prepare a model in the reuse of waste, especially with environmental materials, such as paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, wood, remains of fabrics, plastic bags, and iron. These wastes are used by students from different colleges such as the Faculty of Specific Education, Fine Applied and Fine Arts and in preparing educational aids for kindergarten, for various purposes, educational, entertainment, cosmetic. There is  a special program of “environmental education” in the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Biowastes had its specialized venue according to the WHO protocol for hospital management of hospital waste products through incineration. Organic waste is product of animals and poultry is used organic fertilizer desired to be added to agricultural lands. 
The faculties of Assiut University are clean, coordinated, and have a beautiful environment. This is due to the nature of the faculties and the spread of green spaces, including ornamental trees and fruit trees.
