بمناسبة اليوم العالمي لمكافحة عمالة الأطفال..
الدكتور المنشاوي: جامعة أسيوط تُجدد التزامها بحماية الطفولة وتعزيز التوعية والتثقيف المجتمعي
أكد الدكتور أحمد المنشاوي، رئيس جامعة أسيوط، أن اليوم العالمي لمكافحة عمالة الأطفال، الذي يُوافق 12 يونيو من كل عام، يمثل مناسبة بالغة الأهمية لتسليط الضوء على معاناة الأطفال ممن يُجبرون على العمل في سن مبكرة، في بيئات تهدد صحتهم وتُعيق تعليمهم وتنتهك طفولتهم. مشيرًا إلى أن منظمة العمل الدولية أطلقت هذا اليوم منذ عام 2002 بهدف حشد الجهود لمواجهة هذه الظاهرة الخطيرة، والتأكيد على أن حماية الأطفال تمثل حجر الزاوية لأي تنمية مستدامة.
وأضاف أن هذه المناسبة تُجدد الدعوة إلى تحمّل المسؤولية الجماعية في مناهضة عمالة الأطفال، مؤكدًا أن جامعة أسيوط تضع قضايا الطفولة في صميم دورها المجتمعي، وتسعى باستمرار إلى رفع الوعي بحقوق الأطفال وتعزيز حمايتهم من كافة صور الاستغلال.
وأوضح أن الجامعة تسهم في التصدي لهذه الظاهرة من خلال دمجها في محاور البحث العلمي، والأنشطة التوعوية التي تنفذها كلياتها، إلى جانب الشراكات المجتمعية الهادفة إلى حماية الأطفال داخل المجتمع.
وأشار الدكتور المنشاوي إلى أن جامعة أسيوط مستمرة في دعم جهود الدولة المصرية، للمساهمة في بناء وعي مجتمعي يحترم حق الطفل في التعليم، ويكفل له بيئة آمنة للنمو والتطور.

On the occasion of the World Day Against Child Labor..
Dr. El-Minshawy: Assiut University renews its commitment to protecting children and promoting awareness and community education
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, stressed that the International Day Against Child Labor, which falls on June 12 every year, is a very important occasion to highlight the suffering of children who are forced to work at an early age, in environments that threaten their health, hinder their education and violate their childhood. He pointed out that the ILO has launched this day since 2002 in order to mobilize efforts to confront this dangerous phenomenon, and to emphasize that the protection of children is the cornerstone of any sustainable development.
He added that this event renews the call to assume collective responsibility in the fight against child labor, stressing that Assiut University puts childhood issues at the heart of its community role, and constantly seeks to raise awareness of children's rights and enhance their protection from all forms of exploitation.
He explained that the University contributes to addressing this phenomenon by integrating it into the axes of scientific research, awareness-raising activities carried out by its faculties, as well as community partnerships aimed at protecting children within the community.
Dr. El-Minshawy pointed out that Assiut University continues to support the efforts of the Egyptian state to contribute to building community awareness that respects the right of children to education and ensures a safe environment for growth and development.
