The Faculty of Arts Celebrates Welcoming New Students for the Academic Year 2025/2026Written by: Dr. Hind HassaneinIn the context of the university and the Faculty of Arts' commitment to supporting their new students, and under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mo'ly, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Magdy Allwan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts,a special celebration was held to mark the beginning of the new academic year 2025/2026, welcoming first-year students from various departments of the faculty at the Faculty's Arts Theater.The ceremony was attended by Dr. Magdy Allwan, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mohamed Abu Rehab, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Sameh Fikri, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, department heads of the faculty, a host of faculty members, Mr. Ezz Al-Mansouri, Secretary of the Faculty, several directors of departments and faculty staff, and a distinguished group of students.
The ceremony began with a screening of a documentary film about the college, its various departments, and the career opportunities available for graduates, in addition to the diverse student activities at the college and how to participate in them. In his speech, Dr. Magdy Alwan welcomed the attendees and his students and congratulated them all on the start of the new academic year. He emphasized the importance of studying at the Faculty of Arts in its various departments and the available future career opportunities, and encouraged students to adhere to university regulations and participate in student and community activities that contribute to developing and refining their skills. He also congratulated all faculty members and students on the occasion of implementing the new college regulations based on the credit-hour system for both general and specialized programs, which will take effect starting this year. He pointed out that implementing these regulations is an important positive step in advancing the college's educational journey.
