Assiut University witnesses the launch of the "Civil Protection and Firefighting" workshop at the Faculty of Education

Dr. Maha Kamel Ghanem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, announced today the launch of a workshop in the field of civil protection and firefighting, which is organized by the College of Education in cooperation with the General Administration for Talent Development and the Civil Protection Department at the university, under the auspices of Dr. Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and supervisor of the College of Education, Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Qasim, former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and supervisor of the Civil Protection Department, Dr. Hassan Muhammad Huwail, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Mr. Muhammad Abdel-Aal, Director of the Civil Protection Department, and Mr. Khaled Omran Director General of Talent Development and Management, and a group of the University’s College of Education staff.
At the beginning of her speech, Dr. Maha Ghanem stressed the university administration’s keenness to preserve the safety of its employees by holding workshops in various faculties to educate and raise awareness and familiarize them with ways to deal with risks in scientific and studied ways to avoid injuries inside or outside work. the University .
In his speech, Dr. Shehata Gharib emphasized that the workshops are a unique opportunity to learn and know how to deal and face the dangers, the most important of which are fires and ways to evacuate buildings. Preserving the human factor is a primary goal to raise the level of the university.
In the same context, Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Qasim explained that these workshops aim to familiarize university employees with ways to maintain their safety and how to act during fires or accidents during work and ways to evacuate buildings so that ignorance of them does not cause human and material losses.
Dr. Hassan Huwail added that the participants should take advantage of these workshops, which is a unique opportunity to develop their performance, facilitate and ease work, and avoid the occurrence of risks and methods of dealing during accidents.
Mr. Khaled Omran explained that the workshop will extend over two days, from 16 to 17 March, with the participation of 50 trainees from the College of Education.
