A team that includes a college graduate from the Electrical Engineering department came in second place in the Huawei Global Competition finals.

A team including a graduate from the Electrical Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering secured second place in the Huawei ICT Competition finals.

Huawei ICT Academy - Egypt announced that a team of graduates, including Eng. Kyrillos Magdy, a 2022 graduate from the Electrical Engineering Department's Electronics and Communications Engineering program, achieved second place (along with other teams) in the Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026 finals held in Shenzhen, China. The team, which included the alumnus, won second place in the Network Track.

The team's participation was through the Huawei ICT Academy - Egypt and consisted of Kyrillos Magdy Lotfy Habib (Assiut University), Ramy Khaled Kamal El-Din Moharram (Arab Open University - AOU), and Mohamed Khaled Eid Youssef (Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology, Fayoum). Professor Khaled Salah, Dean of the College, explained that this achievement reflects the high quality of the college's educational programs and their ability to equip graduates with highly competitive, globally-minded skills. This, coupled with the skills and qualifications required by the local job market, enables graduates to stand out among their peers. This success is made possible through the support and guidance of the university administration, headed by Professor Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, and Professor Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

The Dean extends his sincere congratulations to Engineer Kyrillos Magdy on this significant achievement and wishes him continued success in future competitions. He also congratulates all members of the Electrical Engineering Department and the Electronics and Communications Engineering program on this distinction.

This recognition is part of the college's ongoing commitment to supporting and nurturing its outstanding graduates.
