Goals of the University's Sustainable Development Office :

1. Developing mechanisms, plans, and programs to organize and follow up work on rationalizing energy and water consumption according to sustainable methods on campus.

2. Follow-up, implementation and supervision of hazardous waste management programs in the medical sector using sustainable methods on campus.

3. Affiliated with defining and implementing the visual identity of Assiut University to be in accordance with sustainable development.

4. Preparing projects, following up and supervising the development of environmental and sustainable agricultural awareness at the university.

5. Preparing the university's file to obtain global rankings in the field of sustainable development (green university classification).

6. Preparing cadres capable of finding sustainable, innovative, environmentally sound, socially just, and economically feasible solutions to problems in the university grounds and the surrounding community.

7. Apply to local and international bodies to finance and implement sustainable development projects and conclude agreements with international institutions working in this field.

8. Improving carbon footprint trends and maintaining emissions reductions on campus.

9. Include the concept of sustainable development in research points and employ research outputs and patents to develop and serve the university in the field of sustainable development.

10. Establishing and following up the establishment of companies to serve the university and the university community in accordance with the Law of Establishing Companies in Universities.

11. Providing training, educational and educational services to the university community and the surrounding community related to achieving the goals of sustainable development.

12. Establishing strategic relations of cooperation between the university, business institutions, civil society, and various scientific and non-scientific bodies at home and abroad to achieve the goals of sustainable development.

13. Follow-up the establishment of new offices at the university level to coordinate the activities of the sustainable development goals among the various university departments.
