Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy Announces Assiut University's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector Ranks Third Among Egyptian Universities on the Supreme Council of Universities' Digital Platform

June 17, 2026

Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, announced that the University's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector has achieved remarkable progress on the Supreme Council of Universities' digital platform, advancing to third place among Egyptian universities.

Professor El-Minshawy explained that the Sector's advancement reflects its success in strengthening its presence on the Council's digital platform through a comprehensive system for documenting activities and events. This integrated approach accurately showcases the University's extensive efforts in community service and environmental development while ensuring that its achievements are presented in a systematic and well-organized manner.

The University President congratulated the team responsible for documenting and reviewing the Sector's activities, commending their outstanding efforts that contributed to this achievement. He emphasized that this accomplishment reflects the efficiency of the Sector's operational framework and the strong spirit of collaboration among the University's faculties, centers, and administrative units. It also supports the University's digital transformation strategy and reinforces a culture of quality in documenting institutional activities and events.

For his part, Professor Mohamed Ahmed Adawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, explained that the Sector ranked fifth with 1,004 documented activities on May 4, 2026, advanced to fourth place with 1,125 activities on June 13, and ultimately achieved third place with 1,400 activities on June 16, 2026.

Professor Adawy noted that this progress was made possible through the implementation of a comprehensive system for monitoring and documenting activities. The process begins with the Vice Deans for Community Service and Environmental Development at the University's faculties, followed by an academic review to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the required data by the academic coordinator and the administrative specialist. Activity reports are then reviewed by the Sector's academic reviewers before monthly reports are prepared to monitor the volume of activities uploaded to the digital platform by the University's faculties and centers.

In the same context, Professor Mohamed Mostafa Hamad, Professor at the Faculty of Education and General Supervisor of the team, stated that a unified template had been developed for documenting and uploading all activities and events organized by the faculties and centers affiliated with the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector. The template covers seminars, training programs, workshops, initiatives, convoys, exhibitions, and other activities, with the aim of standardizing documentation procedures and ensuring the quality and accuracy of the recorded information.

He added that the team reviewed all submitted activities for language quality, completeness of the documentation template, and overall content quality. He also noted that the academic review team included Prof. Marian Milad Mansour (Faculty of Education), Professor Sabreen Araby Saad (Faculty of Social Work), Associate Professor Randa Youssef Mohamed (Faculty of Agriculture), Associate Professor Sanaa Mohamed Zahran (Faculty of Social Work), and Dr. Afaf Marei Morad (Faculty of Education).

This achievement reflects the success of Assiut University's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in advancing its digital documentation system and enhancing the quality of institutional activity reporting, further strengthening the University's standing among Egyptian universities on the Supreme Council of Universities' digital platform.
