Summary of the activities carried out by the Faculty of Engineering in community service and environmental development during the time from 1/2014 until now:
Assiut engineering professors host Jabal al-Sukkari gold mine.
Based on the invitation of the Geologist: Sami Al-Rajhi - President of the Pharaonic Gold Company to visit Al-Sukari mine, attended:
Geologist / Mohamed Samih Afia - expert in mining and member of the Arab Mining and Petroleum Association
Prof. Muhammad Rajai Al-Tahlawi - Professor of Mining Geology, Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University
Prof. Muhammad Abu al-Qasim Muhammad - Professor of Mines and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University (Dean of the Faculty)
Prof. Galal Abdel Azim Ibrahim - Professor of raw materials processing, Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University
The team was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Mustafa Al-Qadi - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sukkari Gold Company. The visit took place during the period from Wednesday, January 15, 2014 (travel day to the site) to Saturday January 18 - 2014 (return day), and the team was dedicated throughout Thursday and Friday 16 / January 17, 2014 for viewing and discussion throughout the mine.

Among the recommendations of the lecture:
Attention to the provision and use of prevention tasks
Developing and implementing risk management plans
A proper aptitude for work
The risks of constructing new arches are being studied by (engineering)
The Faculty of Engineering - Assiut University organized a scientific symposium "The risks of the work environment in the stages of constructing the new Assiut barrages", which was held at the project headquarters in cooperation with the National Center for Studies of Occupational Safety and Health and Securing the Work Environment.
Among the recommendations of the symposium: -
Ø The necessity to follow engineering prevention procedures in the safety of installations and equipment
Ø Perform regular maintenance
Provision of prevention methods and training in their use
Ø An environmental symposium entitled "The Traffic Problem in Assiut ... The Problem ... and the Solution"
On Tuesday, 15/4/2014, the Engineering Education Development Center, Faculty of Engineering
Among the recommendations of the symposium: -
Ø Immediate removal of all road occupancies, whether they are sold by street vendors, unlicensed booths, shops and cafe shops, random car parks, or piles of garbage and building debris.
Ø preventing any transport vehicles and half transport from entering Assiut from 7 in the morning until 11 in the evening
Urgency to work with the smart cards to supply gasoline and diesel to the extent that driving a car is not a free or cheap excursion
Intensifying police efforts to regulate traffic, and operating traffic traps in areas that do not cause congestion, far from intersections and at traffic lights.
Ø Prompt completion of all traffic plans, including regulating traffic directions in the streets and completing warning and indicative signs.

To attend a meeting to discuss planning the road network that connects the entrances and exits of the New Assiut Barrages project, on Tuesday 25/2/2014 at twelve noon
- Civil protection in securing the Faculty of Engineering
The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Engineering - Assiut University, in cooperation with the University's Civil Protection Department, organized a seminar to educate and train the Faculty of Engineering workers on fire hazards and train them on the use of fire extinguishers, on my first batch on Saturday 3/29/2014 to Monday 3/31/31 2014 and the second batch on Saturday 5/4/2014 to Monday 7/4/2014 from nine o'clock in the morning at the Faculty of Engineering Education Development Center

The Scientific Society participates in a volunteer project entitled Information Stations, Patient Service, and Training of Students on Voluntary Hospital Services, in cooperation with the Egypt Health Association, Faculty of Medicine
A research project presented to the Higher Education Development Projects Management Unit under the title of recycling demolition waste for use in road works
Making computer courses for blind students at the university for free in the faculty laboratories
Adopting a research project to recycle concrete construction waste, which aims to create a huge physical and digital data base to explain the operating methods of buildings and work to connect students with practical reality, which raises the level of the faculty graduates and makes them ready to engage in the labor market
A group of fourth-year students in the faculty designed an automatic machine for manufacturing candles
The idea of manufacturing an automatic machine for the production of candles came to work to increase the production of candles in a short time and with high quality commensurate with the Egyptian market automatically. It will produce more than the lighting candles and decorative candles and will not be limited to one type of candles
Value Company trains students of the electrical engineering department
The company gave three lectures in the field of embedded systems software for the request of the Electrical Engineering Department, Computer Division, on Saturday 5/4/2014 from two in the afternoon until six thirty in the evening
