استمرارا للنجاحات التي تحققها مستشفيات جامعة أسيوط في إجراء العمليات الجراحية المعقده، استقبلت مستشفيات جامعة أسيوط مريضة من إحدى الدول العربية الشقيقة تعاني من كسر قديم أدى إلى إصابة في الضفيرة العصبية للطرف العلوي، وكانت المريضة قد أجري لها أكثر من عملية خارج مصر لم تكلل بالنجاح.
أجريت العملية تحت رعاية الدكتور أحمد المنشاوي رئيس الجامعة، والدكتور علاء عطية عميد كلية الطب ورئيس مجلس إدارة المستشفيات الجامعية، والدكتور محمد الشرقاوي رئيس قسم جراحة العظام.
حيث أجرى الدكتور طارق الجمال أستاذ جراحة العظام والجراحات الميكروسكوبيه، عملية استكشاف للأعصاب مع إصلاحها عن طريق الميكروسكوب الجراحي بوحدة الجراحات الميكروسكوبية بمستشفيات جامعة أسيوط.
عاون الدكتور طارق الجمال فريق طبي من وحدة الجراحات الميكروسكوبية، والدكتورة شيماء عباس أستاذ التخدير.
A medical team at Assiut University Hospitals successfully performed a complex surgery on a patient from an Arab country
In continuation of the successes achieved by Assiut University Hospitals in performing complex surgical operations, Assiut University Hospitals received a patient from one of the sisterly Arab countries suffering from an old fracture that led to an injury to the nerve plexus of the upper limb. The patient had undergone more than one operation outside Egypt that was not crowned with success.
The operation was conducted under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Al-Minshawy, President of the University, Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, Head of the Orthopedic Department.
Dr. Tariq El-Gammal, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Microscopic Surgery, performed nerve exploration and repair using a surgical microscope in the Microscopic Surgery Unit at Assiut University Hospitals.
Dr. Tariq Al-Gammal was assisted by a medical team from the Microscopic Surgery Unit, and Dr. Shaima Abbas, Professor of Anesthesia.
