Dr. Maha Kamel Ghanem - Acting President of Assiut University - witnessed the proceedings of the Moot Court in English - AUMT 2023, Season II - which were presented by students of the English Language Department at the Faculty of Law in cooperation with the Faculty Students Union, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla - Acting Vice President of the University For Education and Student Affairs - Dr. Shehata Gharib Shulgami - Former Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Supervisor of the Faculty of Law - Dr. Hossam Mohamed El-Sayed Effendi - Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs - Dr. Dweb Hassan Saber, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Dr. Muammar Ratib - Dean for College Affairs Community Service and Environmental Development - and Dr. Muhammad Al-Hadi Abdel-Hakim - Director of the English Language Division in the College - and his deputy, Dr. Muhammad Abdel-Aleem, Dr. Khaled Jamal Hassan, Head of the Civil Law Department, Dr. Othman Abdel-Qader, Dr. Kamal El-Din Hussein, Dr. Abdel-Ghaffar Abu Al-Oyoun, Professor Shawkat Saber, Secretary General of the University and a group of The heads of departments, faculty members and their assistants, and students of the college, as well as distinguished participation from the judicial workmen and the Bar Association In Assiut, headed by Counselor Mohamed Fahmy from the Judicial Inspection, Counselor Abdel Rahim Abdel Malik, Counselor Ahmed El-Sayed Effendi, Vice President of the State Council, Counselor Youssef Qadri in the Administrative Judiciary, Professor Captain Mohamed Hamdy and Dr. Captain Ayman Bushra from the Bar Association, in addition to the presence of student Marwan Ahmed in the fourth year in the Language Division. English, the leader of the AUMT student team, the student Abdel-Rahman Al-Sawy, the head of the college students’ union and the student in the fourth year in the English language department, and the student Ziyad Al-Hawari, the director of the show, and the graduate Diaa Salman, the founder of the team and the leader of the team last year at the forefront of the student team from the organizers of the activity.

During her speech, Dr. Maha Kamel Ghanem emphasized the keenness of the university administration to support and sponsor all student activities in various fields and to highlight the promising youth of the university with advanced skills, whether at the level of scientific and cognitive activities or at the level of cultural, artistic and sports activities, which is evident in the success of students The university achieved advanced positions during their participation in many international forums, and raised the name of Assiut University high and represented it in an honorable manner, which is one of the strengths that distinguishes the university and maintains its pioneering position and ancient history.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla stressed the movement witnessed by the mid-year vacation in student activities in all fields, which comes within the framework of the efforts of the university administration and specialized departments to enhance student activity within the university and expand its fields, pointing to the importance of the moot court activity in the English language, which works on Linking the reality of the study with practical training.

During his speech, Dr. Shehata Gharib Shulgami thanked the university's guests from the judiciary and the Bar Association, and to the college administration and students participating in organizing the mock trial in English, stressing that the student's endeavor to enhance his personal skills and build his personality is no less important than his acquisition of scientific skills, which is considered One of the factors of differentiation between young people in the local and international labor market in light of the digital and technological development, in which the employment market does not depend on obtaining an educational degree only, but needs an integrated personality that combines academic qualification and personal skills.

Dr. Hossam Mohamed El-Sayed Effendi, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of the moot court in English as an educational student activity that aims to develop legal, linguistic and personal skills among students by introducing them to the Anglo-Saxon court system and the procedures used before them, as well as developing personal skills for students such as the use of body language and the art of pleading and speaking. To the audience as well as developing their English language skills, he added that the college is keen to hold a moot court in both Arabic and English and simulation models to prepare students and graduates in a manner commensurate with the requirements of the labor market in the legal field.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Hadi Abdul-Hakim stated that the facts of the mock trial in English in its second season – AUMT 2023 Season II – took place with the participation of 35 male and female students from the English Language Department.
