Assiut University President inaugurates the development and renovation of the offices and administrative headquarters of the Faculty of Law.
Dr. El-Menshawy praises the Faculty of Law as a distinguished institution and appreciates the contributions of its graduates in serving the nation.
Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, inaugurated the development and renovation of the offices and administrative headquarters of the Faculty of Law on Wednesday, May 28. The renovations, which cost a total of EGP 2,127,000, were supervised by Dr. Douib Hussein Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law. This comes as part of the university's commitment to developing the infrastructure and information technology in its various faculties and improving the quality and efficiency of educational outcomes.
The renovations included the renovation of the Dean's office, the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the Secretary's office. They also included the renovation of the Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdel Qader Discussion Hall and the Faculty Council Hall.
The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Ragab El-Kahlawy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Moamer Rateb, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hammad Mustafa Azab, Professor of Commercial and Maritime Law and former Dean of the Faculty of Law; Dr. Khaled Gamal, Professor and Head of the Civil Law Department; Dr. Othman Abdel-Qader, Professor and Head of the Civil Procedure Department; Dr. Ahmed Suleiman, Professor of Administrative Law; Dr. Hossam Effendi, Head of the Criminal Law Department; Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aleem, Assistant Professor of Legal History and Director of the English Language Law Program; Dr. Anwar Motawea, Professor of Commercial and Maritime Law. The event was also attended by Dr. Mohamed Helmy El-Hafnawy, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts; Dr. Shehata El-Dabaa, Engineering Advisor to the University President; Dr. Omnia Ibrahim Abdel-Qader, Director of the Center for the Care of Students with Disabilities; and a number of faculty members and their assistants. Also present were Professor Emad El-Din Ramadan, Secretary of the Faculty; Professor Hossam El-Hafnawy, Director General of Public Relations at the Faculty; and Dr. Ashraf Gaballah, Director of the Youth Care Department at the Faculty. Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy emphasized that the university administration is committed to providing continuous support to all university facilities, equipping them with the latest architectural and equipment methods necessary to achieve comprehensive development in all areas. This ensures that the needs of the educational process are met and that distinguished educational services are provided in line with the latest local and international standards.
The university president inspected the development work completed within these administrative and educational headquarters, which included maintenance, electrical work, and painting, in addition to wood cladding and the installation of air conditioning units. The development work also included equipping the halls with audio equipment, interactive screens, modern seating, and good lighting to enable them to optimally perform their educational and administrative functions.
During his meeting with members of the Faculty Council and its administration, Dr. El-Minshawy expressed his deep appreciation and pride in the role of the Faculty of Law, which is the first beacon for the dissemination of legal sciences in Upper Egypt and throughout the Arab world. He also praised the standing of its faculty members and graduates, who carry out their duties in various state institutions, whether executive, judicial, or legislative, in addition to their valuable scientific contributions and contributions in all legal fields. His Excellency also thanked all those responsible for the college's development efforts for their efforts in achieving targeted infrastructure development, undertaking ongoing expansions, and supporting its human capital. This is in line with the university's vision of building an educational system that adheres to university values and ethics and is committed to providing a distinguished learning environment that contributes to developing students' capabilities and skills.
For his part, Dr. Duwaib Hussein Saber explained that the College of Law is currently witnessing a boom in infrastructure development projects and work across a number of its units and headquarters. This is in line with the university's plan to utilize and continuously develop all university units and facilities to serve its students and create a supportive academic environment for achieving optimal excellence. He also noted that this work will be completed in the coming period in a manner that preserves the college's prominent position as a distinguished legal institution.
Dr. Douib Saber commended the university administration's efforts in supporting all development and maintenance work within the university's various sectors, including colleges, scientific research, university hospitals, the Olympic Village, and university cities. This confirms Assiut University's leadership and academic excellence, as well as the true integration and synergy within its sectors to achieve these important additions.
It is worth noting that the development and renovation work was implemented by engineers and supervisors from the university's Engineering Construction Department, under the supervision of Engineer Mohamed Thabet, Director General of Engineering Affairs, Engineer Sawsan Ibrahim, Director of the Construction Department, and a number of female engineers, including: Asmaa Rabie, Nahed Mahmoud, Amira Mohamed, and Ibtisam Ramadan.
