Assiut faculty of Engineering presents the Biomedical Engineering Program for the academic year 2024/2025

 

Assiut University presents; under the supervision of prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, the President of the University; a variety of distinct study programs, for the academic year 2024/2025, which keep up with global developments in engineering education, lead in building the knowledge society and keep pace with continuing technical changes. 

📌 the program is presented by the Assiut University, faculty of Engineering. The Biomedical Engineering Program with the certified hours system; combines the study of engineering science and the basics of biomedical science, under the supervision of ; prof. Ahmed Abd Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs; prof. Ezzat Mergani, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and prof. Reda Rajab Gharib, Professor of Medical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Department.


📌 Program duration: 160 credit hours, 230 hours of attendence. Graduates get bachelor degree of biomedical engineering.

📌 The program can be joined immediately after enrolment in the Faculty of Engineering, through the Coordination Office, or by transfer from engineering faculties all over Egypt, according to conditions established by the Supreme Council of Universities.

📌 The program aims to: prepare engineers with expertise, knowledge and science related to biomedical engineering; expanding the use of engineering systems, digital technologies and computing in health care, as well as providing developers, users of these devices and technologies; with knowledge, and experience through biomedical engineering.

📌 The program works in scientific and academic cooperation with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Louisville University, United States of America, through a partnership agreement through which the students can complete the study at Louisville, and get a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering from Louisville University, as well as from Assiut University. First Positions students can travel for summer training at Louisville University.

📌 The program provides a lot of opportunities in different areas of work. Graduates can work in:

 Operating, maintaining, developing devices, biomedical techniques, health and industrial institutions.
▪️ Data processing, biomedical information, software development in medicine and biology.
▪️ Providing of advisory services.
▪️ Working In distribution companies, medical devices, after-sale services, maintenance, fault repair, and user training.
