Assiut National university announced the launch of the "Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering" program at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, starting from the academic year 2025/2026, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for conducting the work of the National University, as part of the University's endeavor to provide advanced academic programs that meet the requirements of the labor market, and support the state's orientation towards building a knowledge economy based on technology and innovation.

The program is supervised by Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president of Assiut University for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Khaled Salah, dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Assiut University and supervisor of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Assiut University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the program is one of the modern specialties that meets the needs of the local and international market, due to the integrated integration between Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automatic Control, and Robotics, in line with digital transformation and rapid industrial development, and contributes to the preparation of graduates capable of innovation and competition in the fields of smart engineering.

The program includes courses covering the basics of Mechatronics and Intelligent System Systems Design, as well as practical training on the use of modern engineering software, mechanical and Electronic Analysis and design, which enhances students ' skills in the fields of automation, robotics, design and maintenance of smart equipment.

The duration of study in the program is five academic years (10 semesters), with the possibility of shortening the duration by enrolling in optional summer classes. Each student receives continuous academic supervision from one of the faculty members to follow up on scientific progress and provide the necessary support during the school years.

The program qualifies graduates to work in various fields such as robotics design, intelligent control systems, automation, precision hardware manufacturing, and industrial software development, which opens up wide horizons for them in advanced technological and industrial sectors inside and outside Egypt
