Dr. Maha Ghanem, Acting President of Assiut University, announced the start of applications for obtaining the awards offered by the Arab Union of Scientific Research Councils for Arab researchers and innovators. These awards include the Arab Food Security Award for the year 2022, which includes three prizes: the Arab Food Security Award for pioneering national initiatives, for start-up projects, and for scientific research.
Regarding the application requirements, Dr. Gamal Badr explained that each award has a set of conditions, including, for pioneering national initiatives, that the initiative must have been planned and implemented by a public or private institution in Arab countries. For start-up projects, the project must be recent and not more than 3 years passed since its preparation, and it must have entered the implementation phase. As for scientific research, the research should not have been previously submitted to specialized authorities and no more than 5 years should have passed since its preparation. He emphasized that all applicants for the awards should fill out the application form accurately and submit it by January 15th, 2023.
