Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, President of Assiut University, praised the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which represents a basic pillar in the work of Assiut University Hospitals. The department also represents a role model in its academic activity due to its distinguished cadres, who established the largest level of health care provided to women in Upper Egypt. The president also referred to the department's broad scientific background and constant desire to update its performance and tools.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Zain, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, thanked the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for its distinguished role in reducing the risk to mothers, whether through early diagnosis or treatment, praising the fruitful cooperation between the university administration, the Ministry of Health and the Health Directorate in Assiut.
