Assiut University organizes a field visit of a delegation of its students with disabilities to the National Academy of Information Technology in the administrative capital

  Under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the university organized a field visit of a delegation of its students with disabilities to the National Academy of Information Technology for people with disabilities in the new administrative capital, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice president for education and Student Affairs and chairman of the board of Directors of the Center for students with disabilities, Dr. Umniah Ibrahim, director of the center, and Dr. Jamal Al-Sawy, director of the Center for students with disabilities, and in coordination with Dr. Shirin Yahya, advisor to the minister of higher education for Disability Affairs.

  The visit came with the participation of a delegation of Assiut University students with disabilities, representatives of the students of the central upper region, in addition to the participation of five Egyptian universities, namely: Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, and the New Valley, with the participation of 100 students, on Wednesday, July 2.

Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that the field visit of a delegation of university students with disabilities to the National Academy of Information Technology for people with special abilities in the new administrative capital comes within the framework of the University's keenness to support and empower its students with special abilities, and to emphasize its humanitarian and societal role in achieving the principles of justice and equal opportunities. Dr. El-Minshawy pointed out that such visits contribute to enhancing the students ' abilities and expanding their knowledge horizons, by familiarizing them with the latest technologies and supporting equipment, which contributes to integrating them into society and opening new horizons for them in the labor market.

  Dr. Ahmed Abdulmoula stressed that the University spares no effort in providing support and care to its students with special abilities, based on its keenness to consolidate the principle of integrating students into the university community. He pointed out that the university continues to provide all means of support to the Center for the care of students with disabilities, in order to achieve its goals in following up the academic level of students, providing educational means stimulating excellence, as well as providing support in the sports, cultural, artistic, social and technological fields, in coordination with various centers, units and departments inside and outside the University.

For her side, Dr. Umniah Ibrahim, director of the Center for students with disabilities at Assiut University, explained that the field visit to the National Academy of Information Technology included providing a detailed explanation about the academy and the specialized services it provides to people with disabilities, followed by a tour inside specialized laboratories in services for people with disabilities of various types. The visit also included a field tour of the ministries district, the Masr mosque, the museum, the opera, and the triumphal arch, and concluded with a meeting in the conference hall of the administrative capital, where the official spokesman of the new administrative capital provided a detailed explanation of the capital's projects and its various possibilities.

It is worth mentioning that the visit was organized under the supervision of Mr. Ahmed Rajab, head of the delegation and director of the student-sponsored fitness department, Mr. Ahmed Hassan Ahmed "supervision of students", and Ms. Afaf Abdulkader Mohammed "supervision of female students".
