In the presence of Prof. Mohammed Abdel Samiea Eid, President of Assiut
University, Major General Ibrahim Hammad, Governor of Assiut, Prof. Ahmed
Makhlouf, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Mostafa Kamal, former
University President and Chief of the society of Integrated Medicine, and Dr.
Susan Salama, Professor of Chest Diseases, the proceedings of the Second
Conference: “Integrated Medicine: Liver Patients,” took place in the University.
In his opening speech, the university president stressed
the importance of the health issue as it occupies a vital place on the agenda of
medical specialists and the citizens. The president also assured that the
university considers scientific research and community health a priority; an
interest that appears in the university’s concern for development and health
service provided to the community through the University Hospitals and health
convoys touring the vicinity. On his part, the Governor asserted the importance
of such conferences as this one, which reflects the interest of the governorate
and the university in achieving comprehensive community enhancement. He also
praised the conference themes which will definitely contribute to finding
additional means for lessening the suffering of liver patients.
Prof. Ahmed Makhlouf, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine surveyed the pioneering
role of the faculty in developing the hospitals and providing proper medical
care to the community. He also called for sustaining efforts to achieve the
mission of the faculty via collaboration and systematic work.
Assiut University President and the Governor of Assiut inaugurate the Conference on " Integrated Medicine ... Liver Patient"
