Assiut University's Community Service and Environmental Development Council emphasizes concerted efforts and activities in the field of sustainable development and environmental preservation.

-     The Community Service Affairs and Environmental Development Sector at Assiut University held its regular meeting for the month of January 2025, under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Aleem, Vice President for Community Service Affairs and Environmental Development, in the presence of the council members.
-    Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, stressed that the university continues its role as a leading institution in community service, and seeks to achieve integration between education, scientific research, and community service to achieve comprehensive development and employ its capabilities to advance society to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt's Vision 2030.

-    Dr. Mahmoud Abdulalim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, pointed out that the meeting discussed the activities and achievements made in the field of sustainable development, environmental conservation, rationalizing consumption, saving energy, civil protection, how to use firefighting devices in emergency situations, evacuation methods to provide a safe work environment, and literacy and adult education to eliminate illiteracy.

-       During the meeting, the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development reviewed the executive plans of the faculties of engineering, medicine, education, commerce, and science according to the executive plan of the Community Service and Environmental Development sector at the University 2029/2024, and discussed the implementation of activities and events to achieve the strategy of developing the spirit of loyalty and belonging to the homeland by Egypt Vision 2030, expanding the implementation of (educational seminars - field visits - sports activities - experience transfer lectures - related events), and following up on the proposal to adopt the initiative “Our country is safe in our hands”
