In his meeting with the delegation of the Project Management Unit, an Affiliate of the Higher Education Development Projects, Assiut University Vice President says

"We Aspire To Have All Our University Faculties Accredited By 2017" A delegation from the Project Management Unit, an affiliate of the Ministry of Higher Education visited Assiut University to provide technical support, follow the executive plans, bolster Quality Assurance Center and Units, and receive documents of the accomplished projects. During his meeting with members of the delegation, Prof. Ahmed  Gaeis Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, expressed his satisfaction with the accomplishment achieved by the university as it now ranks on top of the Egyptian Universities by having six of its Faculties (Engineering, Science, Pharmacy, Medicine, Vet. Medicine, and Agriculture) being already Accredited. In addition to these six Faculties, there are two Labs (Molecular Biology Lab, Analytical Chemistry Unit) which won first National Accreditation. Prof. Gaeis indicated that the university aspires to have all its Faculties accredited by the end of the third phase of the Ministry's strategy ending in 2017. On their part, the delegation members praised the cooperation between Assiut University Administration and the Project Management Unit, and also asserted the logistic facilities provided to the faculties applying for projects. Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Nasser, Director  of the University Project Management Unit said that the visit included two targets: the first was concerned with handling documents  of the accomplished project for the accreditation of Soil Lab for Analyses and technical Consultations, faculty of Agriculture, and the inauguration of the Reactive Education Unit, faculty of Medicine (a winner of Student Project from the ministry of Higher Education). The second target is to follow up within the quarterly visits for the University Project Management Unit and communication with the University Centre for Quality Assurance and the Units. The visit included four Faculties: Science, an already accredited faculty; Education, a faculty applying for accreditation; Specific Education and Nursing, two faculties applying for CIQAP projects.
