Assiut University President, Prof. Tarek El-Gammal, revealed the launching of the works of the 11th International Conference of the Department of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine, which runs from February 26 to February 28, noting that the conference includes a meeting of representatives of Arab countries participating in the conference in an attempt to set a unified strategy for the protocols of oncology treatment. Dr. Samir Shehata, Head of the Department of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and the President of the conference, added that the conference’s proceedings also include a meeting for all heads of oncology departments at the level of the Republic to discuss the establishment of the Egyptian Board of Oncology as a first step to present it to the Sector Committee and the Supreme Council of Universities to follow a unified work for the doctorate throughout the Republic.
