Assiut University opens the forty-sixth Guiding Scout session with students of determination joining the challenge clan for the first time at the level of Egyptian universities

Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, President of Assiut University, stressed the importance of the roving activity, which works to enhance the values of group working and develop students’ personal, life and practical skills.  The president added that this activity is one of the most effective student activities that attracts a huge turnout of students every year. Moreover, the president stressed the keenness of the university administration to provide all ways of support for all student activities, especially the long-history wandering activity. Such support aims at developing the roving activity increasing the number of students involved in it.

These declarations came during the inauguration of the forty-sixth guiding scouting session for the roving activities.  The session was organized by the Department of Scouting and Public Service in the General Administration of Youth Welfare, in the permanent scout camp next to the College of Education and its activities extend from February 28 to March 6. Attending the session was Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs and the supervisor of student activities; Dr. Maha Ghanem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Ezzedine Al-Mansoori, General Director of Youth Welfare; and Abu Al-Ela Abdel Bari, Director of the Rover Department and Public Service.  Also, the sessions witnessed the participation of a large crowd of deans, faculty deans, faculty members, youth welfare officials, and male and female students.
