Assiut University presents a package of distinguished new programs that keep pace with global developments in engineering education and achieve leadership in building a knowledge society in engineering fields, aiming to produce outstanding graduates who can meet the requirements of the global, regional, and local job markets.
The Faculty of Engineering at Assiut University offers a program in "Mechatronics and Robotics" based on credit hours. The program combines precision machines , electronics, automatic control, and programming languages, allowing students to design equipment, smart machines, and remotely control their operation.
The program aims to prepare exceptional engineers in interdisciplinary fields to meet the needs of the job market. Graduates will have skills in electronics, mechanical engineering technology, mechatronics, and computer systems to meet the needs of industrial institutions, service entities, and national projects.
Enrollment in the program is done through the college's coordination office or transfer from other government engineering colleges, according to the conditions set by the Supreme Council of Universities.
The program collaborates with the American University through the Amideast scholarship, provided by the United States Agency for International Development ( USAID) .
The program allows students to undergo field training for a period of not less than six weeks in an industrial or service facility related to the program's specialization. The academic supervisor oversees the field training and communicates with the company's contact person responsible for training the student.
The program is under the supervision of Dr. Ezzat Marghani, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Ali Younes, Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering.
