The university, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, the university president, is presenting a new set of academic programs designed to meet international standards and the requirements of the engineering sector in the job market.
The program, "Construction Engineering and Project Management," presented by the faculty of Engineering, combines civil engineering studies with project management under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, the university vice president for education and student affairs, Prof. Ezzat Mergani, the dean of the faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Walid Abou Elwafa, a professor in the Civil Engineering Department.
The program's duration is (160) accredited hours and (230) contact hours, and upon completion, graduates will receive a Bachelor of Civil Engineering in Construction and Project Management.
The program aims to provide distinguished engineering education that is in line with modern developments and connected to local and regional needs. It also aims to meet the needs of industrial institutions, service entities, and national projects by preparing engineers specialized in construction engineering and project management with engineering and innovation skills.
The program is open to newly accepted students in all governmental engineering faculties all over Egypt, as well as preparatory year students in government engineering faculties and students transferring from other engineering faculties, after comparing the courses taken by the student with the equivalent courses in the program.
The program presents graduates with numerous opportunities in various fields, including working as civil engineers (construction engineering) for all types of civil engineering structures (design and execution), practicing civil engineering freely, forming, managing, and participating in private work (engineering office or construction company), and working as a specialized construction engineer in civil engineering project management, management of new and old cities, city councils, quality control for all types of structures, and management of engineering projects.
