Assiut University launches the qualifying introductory meeting of the NASA Space Apps, Assiut competition to find innovative solutions to the challenges of the planet

Prof. El-Minshawy: The university is keen to encourage its students to find innovative solutions to the global challenges facing the planet

Assiut University, under the super of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, will launch an introductory meeting for the first activities of the NASA Space Apps Assiut competition, on Tuesday, September 17, from 10 am to 4 pm, in the eighth hall of the administrative building of the university, under the supervision of: Prof. Abdel Rahman Haidar, Advisor to the President of the University for Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, and the Coordinator of the Innovations Care Fund.

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed the importance of the theme of the competition, which focuses on encouraging young people, innovative students and thinkers; to compete for finding innovative solutions to the global challenges facing the planet, in space, and in the environment file, pointing out that the introductory meeting comes within the framework of implementing the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aims in one of its axes; spreading the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Prof. Abdel Rahman Haider pointed out that the NASA Space App-2024 competition is a global technological event "hathon", implemented by NASA International since 2012, pointing out that the introductory meeting: allows young people the opportunity to learn more details of the competition, how to apply, in addition to listening to a group of distinguished speakers, in the field of the competition.
