The Faculty of Pharmacy at Assiut University hosts the awareness symposium "Objects of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy" to raise awareness of the risks of corruption and the need to combat it

-Prof. El-Minshawy confirms the prominent role of Assiut University in spreading awareness and building cadres capable of combating corruption and promoting transparency and integrity in all sectors

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Assiut University, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, hosted an awareness seminar on: "The objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy", which was launched by the General Directorate of Information Systems and Digital Transformation, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Talent Management and Development, within the series of seminars launched by Assiut University; to introduce the national anti-corruption strategy.

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed the efforts of the Egyptian state in combating corruption through a comprehensive national strategy, based on enhancing transparency and integrity in all sectors, and highlighting the main axes of the national anti-corruption strategy, including activating the role of regulatory institutions, and working to achieve social justice by combating all forms of financial and administrative corruption, pointing to the vital role of the university in spreading awareness and building cadres capable of combating corruption, considering that fighting corruption is not only the responsibility of the state, but a collective responsibility that requires the participation of all spectrums of society.

The seminar came under the supervision of: Mr. Shawkat Saber, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Buthaina Al-Fatih, Assistant Secretary General of the University, Dr. Jehan Nabil Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Hassan Rifaat Hassan, Vice Dean of the faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Abdul Latif, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Morsi, Director General of the General Directorate of Information Systems and Digital Transformation, and Coordinator for the Implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy of Assiut University.

The symposium aims to introduce participants to: the ames of corruption, the causes of the emergence, patterns and consequences of administrative corruption, the manifestations of administrative corruption, and methods of combating it; to reduce this phenomenon, and the authorities concerned with combating corruption, identify the national anti-corruption strategy and review its three stages, and explain its main objectives.

Dr. Buthaina Al-Fatih explained that the National Anti-Corruption Strategy represents a vision towards raising the level of administrative performance, preserving public money, and a message to all; to emphasize that integrity and transparency are a priority for the state in all fields, pointing out the importance of the human element in reducing administrative corruption, through conscience and honesty.

In the same context, Dr. Jehan Nabil stressed that the series of seminars comes within the framework of the university's keenness to spread awareness of the objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, and to introduce its forms and its apparent images, which is a complement to the Egyptian state's efforts to address the manifestations of corruption, praising the cooperation of the departments and their efforts in organizing these seminars, wishing the participants to benefit the most and come up with fruitful information.
