Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University; The Department of Art Education / Faculty of Specific Education, organized an art exhibition (wave formations), for Prof. Dalia Mohammed Abdulaziz, the teacher of artistic works, which aims to; recycling synthetic fiber consumables; to create an innovative artistic work, under the supervision of Prof. Jamal Badr, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs.
The exhibition was attended by Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Aleem, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Yasmin Al-Kahki, Acting as Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Dr. Nariman Isaac, Vice Dean of the faculty for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Hala Salah Al-Din, Head of the Department of Art Education, Dr. Wajdi Rifaat, a full professor of artistic works and folk heritage, and the former dean of the faculty, and a group of faculty members and students in the department.
Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed the keenness of the university administration to provide all means of support and care for students, and encourage artistic activities that would enhance the artistic and civilized aspect and raise the general taste inside and outside the university, and contribute in its role in the advancement of society, praising the idea of the exhibition, which aims to employ and recycle environmental materials; to create new formulations, innovative and aesthetic art crafts that are suitable for use, serve the community and the environment.
For his part, Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Aleem expressed his admiration for the art exhibition, which highlights the extent of the aesthetic and artistic sense that keeps pace with modern development,
He pointed out that the university administration is keen on its effective and distinguished participation in the presidential initiative for human development "A new beginning; to build the human being", which is based on building awareness and preparing generations, contributing to sustainable development and meeting the needs of society.
In a related context, Prof. Yasmin Al-Kahki thanked the university administration, headed by Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, for its continuous support of the faculty, and encouraging and developing its talents and artistic, handmal and personal works, to improve the public taste and spread the spirit of art and beauty in human souls.
Dr. Dalia Mohammed Abdulaziz pointed out that the idea of the exhibition crystallized from the spread of the use of synthetic fibers, in many of the basic products in our lives such as: pillows, quilts, children's toys, and others, which become unusable, due to life factors, it must be recycled; to make an aesthetic technical busy, based on the exploitation of the sintering degrees reached by those consumables, adding sintering techniques, coloring with natural and industrial dyes, synthesis, embroidery and braiding, and other methods that serve the artistic busy, explaining that the role of the artworks department; is to train students on ways to exploit consumables; to create a new functional beginning of the synthetic fiber material; in accordance with the presidential initiative (beginning), and the development goals Sustainable Egypt 2030.
