Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, the university presents a set of distinctive programs during the academic year 2024/2025, which keep pace with global developments in computer science and its applications, and aims to prepare specialized graduates to meet the requirements of the labor market in these disciplines, in line with the Country plan for sustainable development and digital transformation. 

This year, the faculty of Computing and Information presents the “Software Engineering” program, which aims to prepare a distinguished graduate who is able to compete in the labor market and has high capabilities and skills in the fields of: Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Taysir Hassan Abdel Hamid, Dean of the faculty, Prof. Khaled Fathy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Maged Ahmed Gad Al-Rab, Program Coordinator.

•    The “Software Engineering” program accepts students enrolled in the faculty of Computers and Information, through the High School Coordination Office, who have obtained the minimum requirements for admission to the faculty, from the scientific division with its branches; science and mathematics.

•    The program includes courses that increase programming skills related to engineering, construction, and the study of the physical and software components of devices.
 
•    The program includes the fields of: Software engineering, information engineering, systems quality, knowledge engineering, software design, software maintenance, software testing, software development methodology, and software security systems.
•    The program prepares graduates for a variety of careers, including software engineer, systems engineer, software developer, systems analyst, software maintenance engineer, computer Instructor, computer game designer, smart phone application designer, and database manager.
