Assiut University launches a comprehensive veterinary convoy to the village of Bahij as part of the President of the Republic's "New Beginning" initiative

Prof. El-Minshawy: The convoy includes providing treatment for animals, performing surgeries, television diagnostics and veterinary guidance

Assiut University, under the supervision of Prof . Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, launched a comprehensive veterinary convoy for the village of Bahej in Assiut governorate, as part of the university's participation in the Republican presidential initiative "A New Beginning for Human Development", which is organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University, in cooperation with the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Assiut, and in continuation of the chain of caravans launched by the university for the most needy centers and hunger; to relieve the suffering of citizens.

Prof. El-Minshawy explained that the veterinary convoy to the village of Bahij aims to provide services in various veterinary specialties, provide veterinary supplies and drugs, transfer pathological cases to the university's veterinary medicine hospital, conduct surgeries, television diagnostics, immunize animals against various diseases and veterinary guidance, stressing the university's keenness to participate in all presidential initiatives by launching and participating in many developmental, health and veterinary convoys, including many of the most needy areas, to provide all aspects of health, humanitarian and social care for citizens.

The convoy witnessed the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Aleem, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of Dr. Madiha Darwish, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Mahmoud Rushdy, Vice Dean of the faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Salah Qutb, Director General of Veterinary Medicine in Assiut, and a group of heads of departments at the faculty , faculty members and their assistants, veterinarians in the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, and students in the college; participants in the convoy.

Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Aleem explained that the convoy comes within the framework of the university's strategy aimed at carrying out its social and developmental responsibility towards society; and in implementation of the national strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education, on communication with the community, effective communication to solve problems, integration between the concerned authorities to serve the community, sustainability in benefiting from various resources and wealth, and harnessing the scientific and human potentials of the university in participating in building and developing the surrounding society.

Dr. Madiha Darwish pointed out that the veterinary convoy provides free awareness and guidance services to farmers by providing opportunities for medical examination and diagnosis of animals, in the specialties of reproductive and obstetrics, internal medicine, surgery, health, malnutrition, and television diagnostics, pointing out that the caravans represent a good opportunity for the students of the final teams; for practical training on diagnosis and the correspondence of cases, which contributes to the benefit of their training on professional life and the labor market.
