Prof. Tarek El-Gammal, Assiut University President started training the first group of American medical students on nerve plexus surgery as part of their visit to Assiut University to spend a period of study and training in this field. Prof. El-Gammal conducted the surgical training at the Unit for Microscopic Surgeries in the main University Hospital.
