Students of Assiut University, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University, participated in the student training program, organized by the Leadership Preparation Institute at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the Union of Arab Universities, entitled (Preparing Artificial Intelligence Leaders and Information Warfare), held at Aqaba University of Technology in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, from 9 to 11 September 2024, with (20) training hours, with the support and supervision of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Governorate, Jordanian Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Universities, Dr. Mohammed Al-Washah, President of Aqaba University of Technology, and Dr. Karimamam, Advisor Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities and Director of the Institute for the Preparation of Leaders, in the presence of Mr. Jamal Abu Amira, the Egyptian consul in the city of Aqaba, and with the participation of student delegations and representatives of (16) Arab countries.

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy praised the participation of Assiut University students in the training program, which aims to enable young people to keep pace with the rapid changes in the digital and information world, and seeks to build their capabilities in the fields of artificial intelligence and information security, through theoretical lessons, lectures and practical applications, which qualifies participants to be future leaders in these vital fields.

The President of Assiut University stressed the importance of joint Arab cooperation and exchange of experiences between Arab countries; to create and prepare a generation of Arab and Egyptian youth capable of assuming responsibility and taking leadership in the future, as the leaders of tomorrow, which comes in line with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and strengthens the efforts of the Egyptian state under the supervision of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, towards caring for university youth and developing their skills and capabilities in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence in its various disciplines.

The participation of the student delegation of Assiut University comes under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Madiha Darwish, General Supervisor of Student Activities, Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Directorate of Student Welfare, and the implementation of Dr. Mamdouh Shrit, and Professor Dalia Shobek in the management of student unions.

The program is held under the supervision of: Dr. Hossam Al-Sharif, Vice Dean of the Leadership Preparation Institute, Professor Lina Al-Bitar, Director of the General Administration of the Union of Arab Universities, and Professor Dina Abu Rizk, Coordinator of the Affairs of the Union of Arab Universities.
