Assiut University President issues decisions to appoint department heads in a number of faculties in January 12, 2023. Prof. Maha Ghanem, Acting President of Assiut University, issued several decisions to appoint department heads in a number of faculties at the university. The decisions included appointing Dr. Amal Ahmed Hassan Shahata, a professor in the Department of Statistics, Sports and Insurance at the Faculty of Commerce, as head of the department council for a period of three years. In addition, Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Mohamed Abdel Rahman, assistant professor in the Department of Medical Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, was renewed to supervise the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for a year. Dr. Hanan Salah El-Din Mohamed El-Helwani, assistant professor in the Department of Comparative Education at the Faculty of Education, was also renewed as head of the Comparative Education Department council at the faculty for a year. Furthermore, Dr. Nevine Abdel Azim Abdel Rahim Hassan, assistant professor in the Department of Oncology at the South Egypt Cancer Institute at the university, was appointed as head of the Oncology Biology Department council at the institute for a year.
